Artists Artists coming to Kamikazecon 3

I'm pleased to announce the folowing Artists coming to Kamiakzecon 3:

Eyeshine

Eyeshine is a four piece, "edge rock" band out of West Hills, California. Since 2006, Eyeshine has self-produced 3 albums and has continued to tour nationwide acquiring fans from all across the globe. We should probably add something really cool in this bio about "how promising we sound" but we'd be

lying. Maybe you should just come check us out and let us know what you think. If we suck, please don't throw tomatoes - we prefer a bag of Peanut M&M's, Skittles or Money (unmarked bills please). Hopefully you'll like us and want to be our BFF. For more info check out www.eyeshine.net or www.myspace.com/eyeshine

Click here for a FREE DOWNLOAD of their demo.

Band members include: Johnny Yong Bosch (guitar and lead vocals), Maurice Salmin (drums, piano, vocals), Tori Dozier (bass) and Eddie Colmenares (lead guitar)

Karl "Uncle Yo" Custer

Karl "Uncle Yo" Custer is an otaku-specific stand-up comedian and has no way to make that look good on a resume. For the past three years he has performed his original comedic routine at conventions such as AnimeNEXT, New York Comic Con, New York Anime Festival, Otakon, as well as Name-Drop-A-Con in Self-Serving Ego, Kentucky. He has MC'ed the cosplay masquerade at Anime Boston, the New York Anime Festival, and he once found a dollar on the subway. That's pretty much it. He doesn't draw, doesn't do voice-overs, and doesn't rise from Tokyo Bay to wreck havoc with his radioactive breath. Come celebrate his (and your) love of geekery at his live performance and at www.uncleyo.com

Greg "Greggo" Wicker

Greg Wicker (or Greggo as he's fondly known) has been producing and hosting game shows at anime conventions since 1999 when he premiered Anime Match Game at Project A-Kon in Dallas. Since then, Greggo has done anime-themed versions of several classic game shows, and even had an original project that very nearly turned into an actual television show! These days Greggo is concentrating on perfecting his craft and making game shows

available for conventions everywhere, bringing his rapier wit and friendly personality with him wherever he goes. This is his first time at Kamikazecon, although he did host game shows and helped judge the costume contest during the special Day With Tomino event back in 2003. He calls his production company "For Randy Entertainment" named after a dear friend that succumbed to throat cancer nearly a decade ago.

You can see some of Greggo's past game show efforts on his Youtube page at http://www.youtube.com/gregdasgo or drop him an email at jgwicker@gmail.com if you're interested in being a contestant on one of his Kamikazecon shows!

Jia Jem

Jia Jem as been cosplaying since 2003. She is one of the lucky few who can consider cosplay as her job. She is an administrator and assistant for Cosplay.com, and has previously worked for a cosplay commission business. She has collected many techniques, tips, tricks, and stories over the past 7 years that she yearns to share with all of you. Whether you have questions about construction, competing, judging, the cosplay scene in America, South America, Europe, or Japan, she has been there and can answer it all! And what she doesn't know she'll make up.

Chris Hazelton

Chris Hazelton entered the entertainment world through the film industry working on films such as "End of Days," "The Hurricane," "Thirteen Days," and "Spy Game." In 2002, Chris produced his first comic online and in print, "Building 12." Chris quickly followed up "Building 12" in 2004 with the much more successful and well known comic "Misfile." After leaving Hollywood, Chris began pursuing drawing comics as a full time career and in 2006 created the comic series "A Steel Wing Shattered."

Rocieru

Best known for his richly detailed Trinity Blood cosplays, Rocieru is a cosplayer who contributes most of his time, money, and energy into bringing every single detail of the characters he cosplays into reality. Despite being told he "needs to get a life", he believes it's the best overall resemblance of the character that makes the greatest cosplay, and he will do whatever it takes to craft out even the smallest and least noticeable details of the character -- including the costume, props, wig, and even the tones

of makeup -- in order to achieve this. His childhood experiences make him a specialist in crossplaying, with his goal being to fool everybody about "her" actual gender while still trying his best to resemble the character. The field he works in also permits him a great amount of knowledge about replicating the custom firearms used by fictional characters, with the all-functional (but non-firing of course! ^_^") HarKonnen from Hellsing: Ultimatebeing the best representation so far of his capability. Rocieru has been cosplaying since 1998 and has earned a total of 11 awards from 2005 to the current day, including two for Best Walk-On and one 2nd Place overall from A-Kon 2007Honoured to be part of this great anime community, Rocieru is more than happy to share everything he knows and answer any questions ranging from general cosplay construction, to crafting the details on costumes and props, to tips on building a realistic yet fanstastic-looking prop fictional firearm, to even ways to achieve and enhance a convincing crossplay! He is avaliable on cosplay.com (as Rocieru) and can always be contacted using this email: nuriko0079@yahoo.com.tw

Making the Texas skies a little less safe for everyone (especially themselves) will be Captain Jeramiah Homer-Winslow, Whisper Merlot, Lucretia Dearfour, Professor Ulysses Marvel, and Alan! Be sure to follow their misadventures at www.ssicarus.wordpress.com to become a Dreadite in their Army of Dorkness!
